Beyond the bubble

Meeting a new dance partner through skin, breath, momentum, beautiful! Sometimes so comfortable you disappear into the meeting and miss out on great things happening elsewhere in the studio.

Can we keep that concentration AND stay open to connection with yet other dancers in the studio, sky above, earth below, space inside, space around? Yielding into and reaching out of the bubble of a duet. This ability to be in contact with 'many' increases technical contact skills and changes the musicality of the dance. Fresh, unexpected, multilayered, transforming...Then if you choose to dance with the same person the whole jam, your eyes & ears are open to the beauty that surrounds you.

First we will work in solo and duo, then trio, quartet... whole studio, everyone! With moments of zooming in to a small cocoon again.

Kristien Sonnevijlle

Kristien Sonnevijlle is a dancer/vocalist improvising in site specific projects, with a background in physical theater, mask work, subbody butoh and instant composition. She organizes delicious workshops in nature in summer, check the week with Johnny Schoofs of body in landscape, or the retreat with Tom Goldhand also in Dordogne.
